Protech is looking for a motivated and results-driven Recruitment Consultant to join our Mining and Maintenance team at our Newcastle branch.

 

Job Description

About the Role:

You’ll deliver outstanding service to both candidates and clients while making safe, accurate, and well-considered recruitment decisions that reflect our commitment to “Quality People. From sourcing and screening through to placement, you’ll play a vital role in connecting great people with great opportunities, all while upholding Protech’s high standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and attract suitable candidates through job boards, social media, networking, and referrals.
  • Prepare, write, and publish job advertisements across job boards and social media platforms.
  • Conduct high-volume screening, interviews, reference checks, and coordinate interview confirmations with clients.
  • Build and maintain candidate pools through ongoing market research and engagement.
  • Review candidate qualifications and experience to ensure alignment with role and client requirements.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the recruitment database.
  • Provide timely updates to stakeholders on recruitment progress and candidate status.
  • Deliver high-quality candidate care, ensuring a smooth, professional and timely experience throughout the recruitment process.
  • Meet or exceed KPIs for call activity & candidate engagement.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Have 2–3 years’ experience in high-volume recruitment.
  • A commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
  • A proactive mindset. You anticipate issues before they arise and take initiative to solve them.
  • Work within tight timeframes and adapt to shifting priorities to meet project and client expectations.
  • Willingness to learn and understand Mining and Maintenance industries.
  • Actively engage and collaborate with your teammates to foster a fun and positive culture.
